Passion for movement
LeuvenSalsa! is a Leuven based Latin dance school started by Carl Hourcau in 2005 proposing classes, parties and other events in which fun and quality come together!
Salsita! is the name under which we are organizing classes, parties and events outside of Leuven.
Classes
On this website you’ll find the schedule for all of the classes we organize:

- the schedule of classes starting in Hoeilaart in September & October
In Leuven we propose dance classes in salsa, bachata, ladies’ technique & styling, intro to merengue-bachata-chacha, tango, mambo, salsa body coordination. You’ll find more info on all of these styles, on the instructors and on the location in this website.
In Brussels we start from September on proposing classes in salsa and ladies’ technique & styling. Central figure in Brussels will be a great instructor with lots of experience: Maria Szumielewicz. Check out the info on this site about the different classes, the locations, the free try out week (second week of September). There will be series of ten salsa classes (at two levels) and series of five classes ‘Ladies’ technique & styling‘ (at two levels). We’ve found an absolutely great dance hall in the centre of Brussels, studio Tout Azimut (near metro Ribaucourt & Yser). Lots of parking possibilities in the area. In Hoeilaart we start from September and October with salsa classes and zumba classes. There are many zumba teachers nowadays but our instructor Winnie Winters is certainly a great one! She’ll start proposing classes from September. The salsa classes will start end of September, taught by two other excellent instructors, patient and committed like Fouad Agharas and Caroline Vanmaele! All of the first classes of every series can always be taken as a free try out class! Contact info@leuvensalsa.com or info@salsita.be to enrol for a series of classes or for a try out class.
Our values
It is very important to us that all of our classes have two main characterics: ‘quality’ and ‘fun’!
Our teachers propose classes with a very clear structure and based on a global didactic plan. Learning to dance is something that will take some time and our teachers will lead you through that process with a smile …
The LeuvenSalsa! and Salsita! teachers are caracterized by their didactic skills but also by their commitment, creating a great dancing and learning environment! Our teachers are also constantly upgrading their own didactic and dancing skills.
Practising
In order to learn you need more though than just to take classes. Practising is very important and that’s why we organize practise evenings (the ‘Practise Mondays’) and many parties. And after all, people mostly take dance classes to go out dancing, isn’t it?
And more
On top of that we also very regularly invite guest instructors to come and challenge us all by showing other styles, other ways of teaching … The Latin dance world is very varied and we’re happy to show this variety for instance at the ‘Leuven Salsa Festival’ we organize twice a year.
LeuvenSalsa! does even more than that: we organize intensive salsa summer stages in Italy in July and August, we organize events for companies or for bachelor parties, we propose private classes …
